Solution – Focused Therapy
All therapy is a form of specialized conversations. With Solution Focused Brief Therapy, the conversation is directed toward developing and achieving the client’s vision of solutions. Most people have previously solved many, many problems and probably have some ideas of how to solve the current problem.
It is the counselor’s role to help client work through the issue to determine the best possible solution. This type of therapy does not focus on the problem or the past, but creates a solid plan for the future to be able to move forward.
